Hello from Vestberry! 👋🏼

We want to double our customer base over the next year. 🚀 Hence, we are looking for a Conference & Community Manager to help us build offline and online conferences or webinars for the Venture Capital community interested in Venture Capital technology such as Vestberry. You will be working with the marketing team and engaging with the CEO, Customer Success, and Product teams.

Responsibilities:

Conference Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for organizing industry-leading conferences, including conceptualization, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and logistics with direct support from the CEO (Marek has established the conference business Zero One Hundred Conferences).
  • Plan and execute online webinars (2-4 per year) focused on key industry topics, coordinating closely with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track marketing activities in HubSpot to analyze performance and optimize future strategies.
  • Plan and execute marketing activities in collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive lead generation and event participation.
  • Secure interesting keynote speakers and panellists, ensuring a diverse and impactful event lineup.
  • Oversee event marketing, registration, and attendee engagement to ensure maximum participation and satisfaction.
  • Manage on-site event operations, liaise with vendors, and troubleshoot any issues to ensure seamless execution.

Slack Community Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain an active, and inclusive Slack community for venture capitalists, and industry professionals.
  • Facilitate discussions, organize events (AMA sessions, networking activities), and provide valuable resources to foster engagement and knowledge-sharing within the community.
  • Moderate slack discussions to ensure a respectful and constructive environment, addressing inquiries and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Implement strategies to grow the Slack community, focusing on expanding membership and enhancing interaction among members.

Analytics and Feedback:

  • Track key metrics related to event attendance, community growth, engagement, and sentiment.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from conferences and community interactions to iterate and improve future events and community initiatives.

What we are looking for in a candidate for this position: 

  • Affinity for the world of finance/venture capital/private equity and a basic understanding of its key concepts
  • Business English – written & spoken (C1/C2)
  • Attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 2+ years of proven experience in event management, preferably within the venture capital, tech, or startup ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of Slack or similar community platforms, along with experience in community management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management, and budgeting.

What might your workday task list look like?

Reach out to potential speakers, communicate with venue providers, manage partners, find sponsors, sell tickets. Promote our conference attendance on LinkedIn. Set up Zoom event and send our clients invitations for upcoming webinar. Communicate with our designer to prepare conference collaterals.
